The development of the new Perkins-1100 Diesel engines for our GEOTRUCK was preceded by a thorough analysis of customer demands. At the top of the list was the demand for excellent features such as performance and torque as well as improved reliability and quality. Just as important were environmental friendliness and reduced running costs.

Closed crankcase ventilation

Environmentally friendly, in all models of the 1100 series; standard with naturally aspirated engines.

Cross flow cylinder head

Optimises combustion airflow, supports complete combustion process, improves exhaust gas emission and engine characteristics. 

Electronic fuel delivery pump

On all three and four cylinder engines. Many connections from the tank to the delivery pump and filter are therefore obsolete.

Block with open-top deck

Optimises coolant flow, continuous water jacket reduces noises, perfect block structure halves lubricating oil consumption.

Quietly operating timing gears

Through new precision steel gears for engine timing and auxiliary drives. 

New differential gear

Quiet, vibration-free engine operation through balanced flyweight. 

ECOplus filter system

Gentle on the environment; easy disposal of filter element; lubricating oil filter housing is reused. Fuel system also has ECOplus filter.
