The 94-model combines the technical features of the new GEOTRAC Series 4 with the compact dimensions of the successful Series 3
Kundl (22nd October, 2009) – The Tyrolean agricultural vehicle specialist presented its newest Geotrac model before the official airing in Kundl. „The Geotrac 94 unites the innovative technology of the Series 4 with the compact build of the successful Geotrac 3 series“, said CEO Hermann Lindner. The company’s new allround-model answers to the trend for moveable, compact and powerful tractors used in pasture cultivation. „The Geotrac 94 is tailored to meet the needs of the typical farmer in the alpine region because of its high versatility“, Lindner said.
The new tractor completes the Series 4 which includes the models 104, 114 and 124. Serial production of the Geotrac 94 begins in March 2010. „We invested 4,2 million Euro into the development of the Series 4 over the last three years“, Lindner said.
The Geotrac 94 in detail
The Geotrac 94 which measures 2,5 meters, has an efficient Common-Rail-Motor by Perkins with rated power 100 hp at 420 rpm. The model is easy to manouver due to its tare weight of 3.980 kg and a full lock of 52 degrees. The Geotrac 94 manages a vehicle load capacity of more than three tons, since the maximum permitted total weight is 7.200 kg.
The cabin of the Geotrac 94 offers full panoramic view to ensure optimal overview. The power gear in the model 94 is produced by ZF Steyr. „It has a two powershift transmission including automatic function, comfort clutch and power shuttle“, Stefan Lindner, the responsible manager for technical development, said. „Furthermore, the power take-off shaft has proportional steering for ensuring a smooth start.“
Light innovation
The innovative lighting concept is another first-rate technical feature of the Series 4: For the first time LED-technology has been implemented in tractors. „This means more safety and longer durability.“ The newest BI-Halogene technology is used in the front lights to ensure optimal lighting of the whole work area.
All vehicle information may be re-called by the driver over an integrated central information board with IBC-display indicating gears, vehicle diagnosis, consumption, daily use etc.
Front hydraulics with equipment unloading
A Geotrac plus for pasture work: all models of the Series 4 are available with rear-driven front hydraulic system while the Geotrac 94 is available also in an axle-driven version including an integrated equipment unloading. The foldable arms can be locked at three points enabling the driver to effortless mowing in difficult terrain.
Turnover plus in the first half year
In the business year 2008/2009, ending March 31st, Lindner turned over 65 million Euro. „During the first half year we gained seven percent“, Hermann Lindner said. „We plan on a plus of five percent during the business year 2009/10.“ An increase showed in the Austrian market and with the Series 4.
„HP ralley is over“
During 2009, the record of registrations was positive. „We managed to increase our market share of standard tractors in Austria from 12,2 to 15 percent.“ The whole market grew only 1,4 percent.
The Geotrac 73 is Austria’s most bought tractor model with the Geotrac 93 following on place four, Geotrac 83 placed seventh, while the Geotrac 124 which entered the market in 2008, is now ranking 10th. „We are number one with tractors up to 100 HP and 130 HP. In our production areas we are market leader.“ The trend goes towards more efficient and light-weight vehicles. Hermann Lindner: „The HP ralley in the tractor sector is over.“
